Risk Management Services
Individuals from the HBA team have vast experience assisting clients with risk management, policy and advice work (over 18 years each for some of the team). Some examples of our work includes:

We have an expert team of commercial and insurance litigators that can help clients with a risk response strategy. These type of services include:

Our Team
Rosan Santangelo
Rosan has been a solicitor since 1999 and a Notary Public since 2006. She is the NSW Chapter President for the Risk Management Institution of Australasia (RMIA) and sits on the YAWC arm of the RMIA. She is also a member of the Audit and Risk Committee for the Sydney Archdiocesan Catholic Schools. Rosan has a graduate diploma in Corporate Governance and BA Social Sciences and has been a risk management practitioner for 18 years. She leads the following national team of HBA risk management experts who provide risk management, mitigation and treatment solutions to clients across Australia:
Geoff Brookes
Geoff is our ski industry specialist and has for many years advised the major players in the ski and ski resort industries on operational risk. Geoff is an experienced insurance and commercial litigator and has acted for insurers and corporate clients in the construction, mining and product liability sectors.
Chris Murphy
Chris heads up our Queensland team of risk advisors and has a great deal of expertise in the retail and cleaning industry sectors. As a solicitor of 15 years’ experience, Chris has helped many clients with risk management and mitigation strategies. He has a keen eye for detail and understands his clients’ business imperatives and financial drivers.
Hamish Craib
Hamish was admitted in the late 1990s and has worked in most areas of insurance law at several leading Australian firms, building strong experience in handling complicated commercial and insurance litigation. As a well regarded senior lawyer, Hamish is a highly regarded risk management specialist.
Mario Raciti
Mario has acted for a large range of private corporations, insurers and reinsurers providing advice on complex common law matters, policy interpretation, indemnity, risk management and dual insurance issues. He represents clients’ interests in NSW, QLD and VIC, affording him detailed knowledge of the law in those three states.
Melissa Wroe
Melissa has acted for clients in the construction, mining, retail and hospitality industries. As a risk expert, she provides valuable advice to clients on how to minimize risk. Melissa sits on the WA Chapter Committee for RMIA in WA.
