Nik has a thorough background and extensive experience across all manner of insurance claims, particularly in the context of professional indemnity matters where he has acted for a variety of professionals across a range of industries. He is also highly competent in the areas of public liability and property damage.

Nik holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney, with First Class Honours.

He is a trusted advisor to clients and has been called upon to advise on various insurance issues such as policy response, interpretation and drafting, risk management, contractual clauses and regulatory compliance, ranging from specific industry practices and procedures to broader issues enlivened by the Insurance Contracts Act 1984 (Cth).
From a claims perspective, Nik achieves optimum outcomes for clients through close liaison during informal settlement conferences and mediations, and reflecting clients’ KPI needs through skilled drafting of advice. He works purposively within a team throughout the claims process, ensuring commercial incentives and swift resolution remain at the forefront of considerations, wherever appropriate.
When it comes to cyber matters, Nik has dealt with both large and smaller scale attacks, with advice based on the twin pillars of shutting down cyber incidents as soon as possible and with minimal expense, while also providing organisations with tailored advice on cyber security risk mitigation and management for the future.
