Experience

Courtney has spent her time since admission in 2014 honing her skill as a personal injury lawyer representing insurers and self-insurers in State Workers Comp matters and CTP.  She joined HBA in late 2016 from Hall & Wilcox.  Her experience as both a plaintiff – and now defendant – lawyer provides a unique edge for claims management and resolution, affording useful insight into the motivations of both teams.

Areas of expertise

Courtney is a key member of HBA’s State workers’ compensation and CTP (motor injury insurance) business.  She has an excellent working knowledge of the State Workers Compensation statutory system under the Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981, and the Motor Vehicle (Third Party Insurance) Act 1943 and the policies of the Insurance Commission of WA. She regularly advises clients on liability, recovery, quantum and claims management strategies.

Why clients like her

Courtney’s personable, friendly nature combines with plain English to help simplify and solve client’s problems.  Her smart, timely advice is trusted – clients know they will receive commercially sensitive and technically accurate advice to aid rapid resolution of claims.
