Ashlee was admitted to the legal practice in early 2019 after graduating with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Newcastle.
For two years, Ashlee worked as a paralegal at HBA Group affiliate, Pillion, before joining the HBA Legal family in mid-2019. While completing her study, Ashlee did placements with both Ramsland Laidler Lawyers and also at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in Gosford. In addition, she undertook an externship in the Cook Islands working alongside the Commissioner of Police. In this role she assisted with the legislative drafting of the Cook Islands’ new Weapons Act.
During her time at Pillion, Ashlee has further developed her skills in legal research, drafting briefs to Counsel and developing concise summaries of medical evidence. She has also refined her skills in efficiently analysing and reviewing large volumes of relevant documents.
Ashlee works out of HBA’s Newcastle office, reporting to Partner Brett Ablong. In line with our ‘One HBA’ business model that removes borders to draw on the skill and experience of our people across the country (wherever they sit in relation to the client and regardless of which partner they report to), Ashlee supports across the business.
